Isaac turns 2!!!

Facts about Isaac:

Heigth: 97th percentile

Weight: 75th percentile

Head Circumfrance: 90th percentile

He is very polite saying “please” “thank you” and “Sorry mom” on a regular bases.

He sleeps through the night for the most part.

Every day he spits out new words and speaks in sentences instead of one word phrases, some of my favorites:

“Let’s go”

“I’m stuck”

“look, it’s a…”

“I see it.”

“Where are you”

"Daddy's home!"

And my very favorite:“I hold you mommy, I hold you.”

He is getting over his separation anxiety. When I leave for work he stands at the back door, waving bye, bye, and blows me kisses and says, “bye, bye mommy… bye, bye mommy... c-ya” Until he doesn’t see my car.

Thanks to his motivation and curiosity he is my little helper around the house. He likes to do the dishes, clean up spills, vacuum, and put clothes in and out of the washer and drier.

He can get into the car seat by himself and buckle himself half way in.

He is very loving, constantly giving out hugs and kisses, and he likes to hold hands.

He is obsessed with washing his hands!

His favorite toys are trains and cars

He tries really hard to share his toys.

I love you son!! I feel so blessed that you chose to be a part of our family. We learn love, patience and kindness from you every day.

After many cake mix boxes, the choo, choo train cake didn't turn out so bad. We had a small party for Isaac on his b-day and ate cake and icecream. It was loads of fun!

Dewayne and I got him this little tricycle. I'm sure it will be well worn before summer time if we get our basement finished soon.
Abu and Papa's present, "Lucky." Isaac was in toyland Heaven!

Time for a twin bed, don't ya think?

After putting Isaac down for a nap in his crib I came to check on him an hour later and this is what I found. I personally think the crib is much more comfortable.

Halloween 2009

Leave it up to moms to document important events! I had to steal these first 2 photos from my sisters blog. I had my own adventures at work that night: 3 Pediatric codes with one death, and quite a few belligerent drunks. It was a memorable night!

We've recently started a new tradition of spending Halloween at my sister, Elisa's, house every year. It's the best. Abu makes polenta, and Elisa makes her famous potato soup. After the dads take the kids trick-or-treating we all chow down on yummy food!
Is he not the cutest? Thanks for letting him borrow the Giraffe costume, Sandee! It was hard to rip the two of them apart. Isaac loooooved identifying Giraffe's facial features!

Market Star (Dewayne's work) had a Halloween party for employees and their family members.

A girl or a boy?

I have no clue how to read sonograms, but this one was very obvious! To me this kind of looks like an alegator with a small tongue Isn't it amazing how only 10 weeks ago this baby looked like a gummy bear?! Now he (yes...I just gave it away) has eyes, ears, nose, lips, chest, arms, legs, feet, and all the other body parts or a little boy.

I was so certain we were going to have a little girl. In fact I'm constantly reminding myself it's a boy. I was just at costco the other day and saw the cutests little tutu's. After contemplating wether the price was worth the purchase I thought, "wait....I'm having a boy, and he is definitely not going to be wearing that!"
We are so excited that Isaac will have a little brother to talk about cars with, and to play ball with. I know Isaac will be such a good big brother because he has such a tender spot in his heart for those he loves.

No more hiding... 17 weeks today!

Due date, March 13, 2010. We find out if the baby is a boy or girl the end of October. We are so excited!!!

My first traumatic face plant!

Isaac landed face frist on concrete riding a tricycle down a very steep cement driveway a few months ago. Since then the word, "abbies" (Owies) became a part of his vocabulary. No broken nose, just a really "bad abbie."

Ready for some massive updates:

BEAR LAKE
Jaxon on the Merry-GO-Round, couldn't get enough of it!

This was the best break for me. Isaac could get dirty in the sand, chase the seaguls, and it was okay, no scolding involved. Loved it!!
Sand with Doritos, ummmmmmmmm. By the way, like Isaac's hair cut?

This is my very talented bil, Alan. Christian Bale look a like, don't you think?

Oh, Hallie! So.... I lied, I scolded Isaac for this one! Ty, so cute! Kept pointing to the boat saying "Bo"....."Bo (Boat) My Tall Dark and Handsome Wether they're spitting from the edge of a building, peeing off a mountain top, or throwing rocks in a lake, Isaac has learned from his daddy, "boys will be boys."

Abu making sure Ty and I (Isaac) are sharing. Thanks for taking that one over mom.

The Merry-GO-Round was a hit!

I think Ty got really naseas after 10 min's of the Merry-GO-Round.

Elisa is so lucky to have Summer. She is a seriously awesome helper! I can also tell Jaxon and Hallie have a thousand more loads of fun when summer walks into the room.

Equilibrium will throw her off, but nothing stops Hallie from posing infront of the camera!

so much funner than the spinning wheel of nasea!
